The conceptualization of the PAlayTIMPALAK: The Search for Top Performing Rice-based Integrated Farm in Region 1 by ATI-RTC 1 is one among the Centerโ€™s notable innovative strategies to respond to the low productivity of farming communities and to other gaps and challenges surfacing the agricultural sector in the region.

With the two years successful implementation of the said program, ATI Ilocos Region formally launches its document during the Centerโ€™s celebration of the Instituteโ€™s 36th Anniversary on January 27, 2023 at ATI-RTC 1, Tebag East, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan.

ATI-RTC 1 Center Director Dr. Rogelio C. Evangelista, together with the lead authors of the masterpiece from the Career Development and Management Section, unveiled the document and witnessed by clients, partners, and other stakeholders who were present during the anniversary celebration.

The Center hopes that the program document will serve as blueprint in realizing this initiative, particularly in reinforcing farmersโ€™ adoption on diversified and integrated farming system towards increased productivity and income, and food sufficiency, as a whole.

Meanwhile, winners of the PAlayTIMPALAK in 2022 were also in attendance during the launching program to receive their prizes. It was noted that the Alcala Tobacco Rice and Corn Agriculture Cooperative in Alcala, Pangasinan won the first place under the Rainfed Category while the Lower Cagraoan Irrigators Association in San Juan, La Union topped the Irrigated Category.
