The Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center 1 (DA-ATI-RTC 1) conducted the first batch of โ€œOversighting Finances: A Training on Financial Management for New CFOsโ€ on April 6-8, 2026, at IMA Integrated Farm, Brgy. Caparispisan, Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte.

The training aimed to equip participants with essential knowledge and skills in basic financial management, which enabled them to prepare re-entry plans to enhance their coconut and other farming enterprises.

A total of 25 farmers from the different Coconut Farmers Organizations in Pagudpud benefited from the training. They underwent lecture-discussion and workshops, which were facilitated by Engr. Rose Anne Cabaloan, Agriculturist II of PCA Ilocos, and Ms. Elizabeth C. Benemerito, Owner of IMA Integrated Farm.

This initiative highlights ATI-RTC 1โ€™s continued commitment to strengthening the financial capacity of coconut farmers and promoting sustainable coconut farming in the region.
