The Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center 1 (DA-ATI-RTC 1) held its 3rd quarterly meeting on Province-led Agriculture and Fisheries Extension Systems (PAFES) on September 30, 2024 via a virtual platform. The meeting was facilitated by the Planning Monitoring and Evaluation Unit (PMEU) of ATI-RTC 1 and PME Division of the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office 1 (DA-RFO 1).
Among the agenda items of the meeting are the status of liquidation of FY 2023 fund, status of FY 2024 PPAs implementation, updated CPAFEP, 3-Year development plan (FY 2026-2028), and other matters.
Ms. Abegel A. Joson, CDMS Chief, expressed her appreciation for the continued support and dedication of all stakeholders in advancing the PAFES initiative, as she represented the Center’s top management. Also, Ms. Doris Garcia, PAFES Regional Focal Person from DA-RFO 1, shared her insights and encouragement and hopes to have more collaboration and convergence with PAFES Stakeholders in order to successfully and fruitfully implement these interventions.
All PAFEC Directors and representatives presented their status of implementation for the current year. Aside from innovation, each province showcased strategies on strengthening collaboration and networks among participating agencies to effectively implement activities and trainings under the CPAFEP.
Ultimately, stakeholders look forward to fostering closer ties and shared efforts to attain its primary objective which is to provide significant contributions to the development of the agriculture and fisheries sector in the Region.
