LGU Cabanglasan receives project ownership for 60 Sow-Level Swine Multiplier and Techno Demo Farm Project, commits to strengthen local swine industry in the community

CABANGLASAN, BUKIDNON - The Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center X successfully turned over the 60 Sow-Level Swine Multiplier and Techno Demo Farm Project to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Cabanglasan, Bukidnon, on Monday, June 29, 2026.

After the project's dispersal which began in March 2024, the LGU successfully complied with the repayment scheme outlined in the Memorandum of Agreement, paving the way for the official turnover of the project.

The program opened with the acknowledgment of guests by Municipal Agriculturist Anita S. Macabugto, PhD. Vice Mayor Lolita N. Bullecer, in her welcome message,  expressed her gratitude, sharing that despite the challenges encountered during the implementation of the project, the LGU's perseverance has finally led to this milestone of fully owning the project.

ATI-RTC X Center Director Maria Lydia A. Echavez congratulated the LGU of Cabanglasan for its dedication and hard work in successfully managing the project. She also assured everyone that ATI will continue to provide technical assistance and support to further enhance and sustain the project's operations.

Moreover, Municipal Mayor Hon. Bernie C. Castillanes formally accepted the project and expressed his heartfelt appreciation to ATI-RTC X and its partners for their unwavering support. He emphasized that the turnover is not just a transfer of ownership but also a testament to the LGU's commitment to strengthening the local swine industry and improving the livelihood of its farmers.

In their messages of support, Dr. Kharinine S. Escasinas, Provincial Veterinarian of Bukidnon, assured everyone that the Provincial Veterinary Office remains committed to providing technical assistance to ensure the project's continued success. Rodel S. Calapine, DVM, Technical Sales Manager of Montesclaros Swine Farm, also shared his message of support and encouraged the LGU to continue maximizing the project's potential for the benefit of the community.

Also present during the program were the heads of the various departments of the Local Government Unit of Cabanglasan, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, and other municipal officials, whose presence underscored the LGU's collective support and commitment to the continued success and sustainability of the project. 

The successful turnover marks another milestone in ATI-RTC X's commitment to promoting sustainable livestock development and empowering local government units through strengthened partnerships.
