LOVE Project Begins 2-Batches of Layer Chicken Management Seminar

The Livelihood Opportunities and Viable Enterprise (LOVE) Project started rolling its first two-batches of the five-day seminar series on Layer Chicken Management on July 1 and 2, 2026 in Baroy Lanao del Norte and Tangub, Misamis Occidental.

This collaborative initiative by the Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X) and the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 10 (DA-RFO X) brought together project beneficiaries and prospect applicants, all from the Province of Lanao del Norte and Misamis Occidental. The joint agency effort focused on building the technical capacity of the attendees to ensure they can productively manage their upcoming poultry enterprises.

The 1-day session commenced with the orientation on the project’s commitments and guidelines before the commencement of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), facilitated by DA-RFO X Livestock Program Coordinator, Ms.Jinky C. Yap.

Mr. Mark Anthony O. Macahilo and Dr. Reggie M. Macahilo, of MR. DEGA Farm Learning Institute, an ATI certified Learning Site for Agriculture in Tangub, City, Misamis Occidental, served as resource persons and trained the participants on technical flock management, facility design and material standards, the detailed the day-to-day operations covering strategic feeding protocols, weekly light charting, and effective biosecurity measures against common poultry pests and diseases.

Through the LOVE Project, this will ensure an immediate source of food and livelihood in the community and an immediate return on investment which will redound food security.#
