Maramag, BUKIDNON—ATI-RTC X will continuously widen their network of Farmers Information Technology Services (FITS) Centers in Northern Mindanao in 2023.
The Center, through its team composed of staff from the Information Services Section, the Planning and Monitoring Unit, and a member of its Technical Working Group validated the Municipal Agriculture Office of Maramag, Bukidnon, for FITS Center establishment.
As to the initial result, LGU-Maramag met the minimum requirement for FITS Center establishment as per the program's establishment guidelines. Area requirements, available resources such as ICT equipment and furniture, and staffing to man the FITS Center were some of the criteria assessed during the validation.
LGU-Maramag was advised to comply with the necessary documentary requirements for the establishment.
The Farmers Information Services Center under the Techno Gabay Program strives to ensure the long-term viability and profitability of the agricultural sector in the region by providing farmers with access to updated information, resources, and services in agriculture and fisheries.
As of today, there are a total of 64 FITS centers in region 10 with 77 FITS kiosks. About three LGU-FITS Centers and six more FITS kiosks are set to launch in the second semester of 2023.
