The Department of Agriculture - Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center 10 (DA ATI-RTC 10) awarded the certificates to its new partner Learning Sites for Agriculture (LSA) on August 15, 2022 at the ATI-RTC 10 Function Hall, El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental.

The Abellanosa Agricultural Learning Site in Don Carlos, Bukidnon received its certification as School for Practical Agriculture (SPA). On the other hand, the Aloran Trade National High School-Department of Education Misamis Occidental, Baungon National High School Organic Agriculture Techno-Demo Farm, and Ciervo Robusta Coffee Farm in Talakag, Bukidnon were given certification as Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) as well.

Center Director Maria Lydia A. Echavez said that they were certified as learning sites because the center witnessed some of their good agricultural practices and showcased agricultural technologies which are worth sharing with their students, farmers, and their community. She also sent thanks to the new SPA and LSAs as they will serve as the alter ego of DA-ATI in giving agricultural services in the communities toward food security and improvement of farmers in the rural communities.

Moreover, PASS Chief Javier P. Andalan reminded them to continue to learn and research so that they will have more to teach to their students, and to serve in the agriculture sector with dedication and passion.

Meanwhile, Mr. Wendell A. Pasok, Principal of Aloran Trade National High School said that they were proud to be given a chance as one of the partners of the Department of Agriculture through the Agricultural Training Center in Region 10. “It is our dream to be in partnership with the Department of Agriculture so that we can implement its programs in our class and make our school a model in agriculture especially in organic farming to the people of Aloran as well as to the people in Misamis Occidental” he said.
