ATI-RTC X releases financial assistance to typhoon-affected LSAs

EL SALVADOR CITY – The Agricultural Training Institute–Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X) extended financial assistance to two certified Learning Sites for Agriculture (LSAs) in Northern Mindanao whose farm facilities were damaged by Typhoon Basyang.

The beneficiaries were Casa Amante Farm in Balingasag, Misamis Oriental, owned and managed by Ms. Annie Duay, and Abalde's Grape Farm in Alubijid, Misamis Oriental, operated by Mr. Rey Niño Abalde.

Each LSA received Php100,000 financial assistance. The assistance aims to help the affected LSAs restore their operations and continue serving as learning hubs that provide farmers, agricultural enthusiasts, and other stakeholders with access to agricultural technologies and best practices.

Present during the turn-over were ATI-RTC X Center Director Maria Lydia A. Echavez, Officer-in-Charge Assistant Center Director (OIC-ACD) Efren C. Macario, and Partnerships and Accreditation Section Chief Javier P. Andalan.

Through this initiative, ATI-RTC X reaffirms its commitment to supporting accredited Learning Sites for Agriculture and strengthening their capacity to continue delivering  agricultural extension services despite challenges brought about by natural calamities.
