Kalilangan, Bukidnon – The Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X), through its Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP), conducted the Training on Good Quality Copra Production and Processing (Batch 2) for 30 coconut farmers.

The three-day training aimed to enhance farmers' knowledge and skills in producing high-quality copra, particularly in proper harvesting, handling, drying techniques, and storage practices. These improvements are expected to ensure better copra quality, higher market value, and increased income for coconut farmers.

Participant Elene D. Salvacion said the training will help boost their livelihood.

“Kining mga natun-an dako kaayo na tabang sa pagpalambo sa among kita ug panginabuhi isip mag-uuma. Sa ATI, dako kaayo among pasalamat sa inyong panahon, kaalam, ug paggiya. Tinuod nga dakong tabang kini sa among komunidad ug siguradong magamit namo sa among umaabot nga pagproseso sa kopra.”

The activity also featured hands-on demonstrations on proper copra production and processing methods, guiding participants in achieving clean and well-dried copra.

The participants also underwent an immersive farm visit at the Philippine Coconut Authority – New Coconut Seed Production Center (PCA-NCSPC) in Aroman, Cotabato, allowing them to observe and apply improved techniques in actual field conditions.

The training was held on April 8–10, 2026, at Nonoy’s Kamalig, Hituan Agricultural Learning Center. ###
