14 EAsY Agri Scholars attend MOA Signing

The fourteen (14) new EAsY Agri Scholars in Region 10 together with their parents/ guardian signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Agricultural Training Institute- Regional Training Center X today, September 10, 2022. This is to formally start their scholarship engagement with DA-ATI. The EAsY Agri Scholarship is open for incoming freshmen students who are enrolled in Agri-related courses. This is to encourage the youths to go into agriculture or pursue agri-related careers in the future. A total of 31 students applied for the scholarship. They went through a rigorous screening process which include written exam, interview and evaluation of their grades and entrance exam result from their chosen school. Courses pursued by the scholars include BS in Veterinary Medicine, BS in Environmental Engineering, BS Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. The scholars have enrolled at Central Mindanao University (CMU), USTP Claveria and MSU-IIT in Iligan City.


The scholars came from Baliangao and Oroquieta City in Misamis Occidental, Balingasag and Claveria, Misamis Oriental, Manolo Fortich, Baungon, Maramag and Quezon in Bukidnon.


As part of the activity, Ms. Maria Lydia A. Echavez, OIC-Training Center Superintendent (TCS) II of ATI explained to the scholars and their parents the scholarship, their obligations and consequences for a Breach in Contract. Also present in the MOA signing is, Ms. Noemi Beth G. Macario, OIC TCS I and chair of the Local Scholarship Committee (LSC), Mr. Efren C. Macario, member of the LSC, Ms. Anthonette June Russel, Ms. Shirley de los Reyes, LSC Secretariat, Ms. Cheaster Kimberly Magat and Mr. Mark Cyben Epe also joined the activity. Scholars from Manolo Fortich Bukidnon were accompanied by Mr. Stephen John Batasin-in of LGU Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.
