Poblacion, El Salvador City--- An ISO 9001:2015 Surveillance Audit was conducted recently to ensure the center’s delivery of quality training and extension services to its clients, and to continually improve its quality management system.

Although conducted virtually, the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X) passed and remains compliant by retaining its ISO certification, on its audit schedule on Friday February 24 as led by Center Director Maria Lydia A. Echavez.

As per definition on their website, the ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is an independent, non-governmental, international organization that develops standards to ensure the quality, safety, and efficiency of products, services, and systems. ISO 9001 is the international standard that specifies requirements for a Quality Management System (QMS), which ensures consistency of products and services through quality processes as well as strengthen the drive for excellence in public service.

Meanwhile, a Third Party Certification by TÜV SÜD is synonymous with quality and excellent service, since TÜV SÜD are composed of experienced auditors which help their client secure an ISO 9001 certification by adhering to Quality Management System (QMS).

The Career Development and Management Services (CDMSS) headed by OIC-Chief Noemi Beth G. Macario, and the Partnership and Accreditation Services (PAS) headed by PAS Chief Javier P. Andalan resulted in zero Non-conformities (NCs) and two Opportunity for Improvement (OFI).

With the said findings, the process owners of the center intend to maintain and harmonize its Quality Management System (QMS), deliver quality services to its clientele, and to properly address the external and internal issues relevant to the center’s purpose and strategic direction.

The virtual ISO audit was conducted by TUV SUD Auditors Adorable Aguila and Xavier Lance Dy, along with ISO National Focal Person Abby Baguisi.
