The Agricultural Training Institute-XI participated in the 37th SMAARRDEC Regional Symposium on Research, Development, and Extension Highlights cum Farmers and Fisherfolk Forum 2024, held on August 13-14, 2024, at Davao del Norte State College, Panabo City.
With the continued commitment of ATI to extending the latest agricultural technologies through training, demonstration, and community organizing, the institute showcased various farm products from different learning sites in the region.
Assistant Center Director Olivia D. Gatus graced the opening ceremony on the first day and was one of the jury members for the poster presentation contest during the activity.
Moreover, at the farmers' forum, Director Nebreja presented the mandates of ATI as the training arm of the Department of Agriculture. She also said during her presentation, โThe farmers are the reason for the existence of ATI, as we are the orchestrators of the extension delivery system for farmers and fisherfolk to achieve food affordability and sustainability for every Filipino family. Thus, we commit to providing excellent extension services, and we are happy to serve our dear farmer-clientele.โ
The two-day activity was organized by SMAARRDEC. They also recognized and awarded the research presenters from different R&D institutions and the exhibitors at the end of the activity.
