Local coffee farmers took center stage at the Barista 101: Standards, Protocols, and Procedures Training on August 9, 2023 held at the Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Training Institute (DA-ATI) RTC XII.

This training equipped 20 dedicated local coffee farmers from the Province of Sultan Kudarat with essential skills and knowledge.

The program's opening ceremony was graced by Mr. Ronan Eugene C. Garcia, Chairperson of the SOCCSKSARGEN Coffee Council. Mr. Garcia's insightful address provided attendees with a glimpse into the future of the coffee industry within the SOCCSKSARGEN region. His emphasis on the significance of the training in enhancing the region's coffee landscape set an inspiring tone for the entire event.

Mr. Denis N. Cocoba, Pre Q Certified Arabica Cupper and Master Roaster of the Coffee Brothers Inc. shared his handful insights on coffee roasting. Collaborating with him were coffee experts, Mr. Kenneth Clint E. Bajade, Mr. Dan Christopher Timtim, and Mr. Andrew P. Castellano.
