Twenty-one participants from the pilot batch of the Expanded Basic Agricultural Extension Course (EBAEC) successfully presented their Area-Specific Action Plans (ASAP) on April 10, 2026, at the Belo Hall of ATI-RTC XII. This presentation marked the culmination of a rigorous training process, during which the participants engaged in a three-day field immersion. This practical experience took place across several strategic locations, including four sitios in Barangay Poblacion and one sitio in Barangay Bukay Pait in the Municipality of Tantangan, as well as in Barangays Little Baguio and Colungolo in the Municipality of Surallah.

The participants, organized into four distinct teams, developed comprehensive plans tailored to address specific local challenges. Team 1 focused on Reimagining Rice: Towards More Sustainable Farming, while Team 2 worked on Assessing Market Access and Farmgate Prices for Farmers. Team 3 dedicated their efforts to Cultivating the Next Generation: Addressing Low Youth Participation in Agriculture, and Team 4 concentrated on Building a More Climate-Resilient Sitio El Ulit: Assessing the Needs of Farmers, Extension Workers, and Barangay Leaders.

The proposals were evaluated by a distinguished panel of experts, including ATI Director Engr. Remelyn R. Recoter, MNSA, CESO III; ATI Assistant Director Antonieta J. Arceo; DA-RFO XII Regional Technical Director for Operations Ray H. Embajador, RAgr; the DA National Focal Person for the Province-Led Agriculture and Fisheries Extension System; and DA-RFO XII Chief of the Regional Field Operations Division Engr. Erwin A. Arguelles, MPM-RD. These action plans reflect the participants' commitment to evidence-based extension work and their dedication to fostering sustainable and resilient agricultural communities.
