The participants of the Training on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) on Coconut Production shifted from classroom instruction to experiential learning on May 7, 2026, during a dedicated field exposure and hands-on deployment at Gernils Farm Learning Site for Agriculture. This practical field day was designed to bridge the gap between academic farming theory and actual field operations, allowing the trainees to directly observe and execute standardized sustainable cultivation methods in a real-world setting.

Ms. Marnelli Cordero, the owner and operator of the certified learning site, personally guided the delegation through the farm's daily operational workflows. Drawing from her extensive experience in commercial farm management, Cordero shared valuable insights into sustainable agricultural systems and coconut-based agribusiness diversification. The trainees toured the facility to analyze various successfully integrated GAP components, focusing specifically on systematic farm maintenance, strict crop nutrition management, localized soil conservation structures, and diversified polyculture systems.
