Makilala, Cotabato—The National Training on Biodynamics is currently underway at the St. John Bosco Biodynamic Farm and Ecological Techno Demo Farm. This initiative, facilitated by the Agricultural Training Institute Central Office through its Partnership and Accreditation Division in collaboration with the Regional Training Center XII, is designed to provide participants with advanced technical knowledge and practical skills in biodynamic farming methodologies.

The training program is attended by Organic Agriculture focal persons from various regional offices across the country, alongside selected farmer-leaders and cooperators from accredited Learning Sites for Agriculture. The opening program was attended by key stakeholders, including OIC-Center Director Dr. Jessie V. Beldia, Municipal Agriculturist Juanita Manzano, and Farm Manager Maria Helenita R. Gamela, who emphasized the importance of ecological farming systems in the national agricultural agenda.

This training serves as a venue for capacity building, focusing on sustainable agricultural techniques that enhance soil fertility and promote crop health without relying on synthetic inputs. By standardizing these ecological practices among regional leaders and practitioners, the program seeks to create a more resilient agricultural sector that addresses environmental concerns while maintaining high production standards.

Through the adoption of these biodynamic principles, participants are prepared to facilitate the transition toward more regenerative farming systems in their respective regions.
