Ganassi, Lanao del Sur—The formalization of the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Program (CFIDP) Internship Program took place through a series of Memorandum of Agreement signings held from April 23 to 24, 2026. This activity established formal partnerships between implementing agencies and selected host farms across Lanao del Sur, facilitating the deployment and hands-on training of interns within the coconut sector.

On April 23, agreements were finalized at COF’TAH Farm in Camponga-Raya, Ganassi, and Haro Farm in Marogong, with two interns assigned to each site. These proceedings were conducted in coordination with the Philippine Coconut Authority BARMM, represented by Regional Technical Staff Hanan Inok, and PCA Lanao del Sur, represented by Senior Agriculturist Casim A. Marohom. The Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center XII, represented by Development Management Officer II Mercedita G. Aglibot, witnessed the signing, ensuring institutional alignment across the participating organizations.

The final agreement was signed on April 24 at Jumalon Farm in Igabay, Balabagan, where three additional interns were deployed. These commitments from partner agencies and farm owners ensure that beneficiaries receive direct practical experience, which is essential for developing technical competence in coconut production and management. By providing these structured learning environments, the program supports the professional growth of the interns while enhancing the human resource capacity needed to support local coconut farmers.

This collaborative initiative serves as a development mechanism for the agricultural sector in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. By integrating academic and practical training through farm-based learning, the program contributes to the long-term sustainability and modernization of the coconut industry, fostering greater productivity and economic growth within these local communities.
