The Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center XII (ATI-RTC XII) through its Information Services Section successfully conducted the AgriSerbisyo: Extension on Wheels Batch 2 at the Municipality of Parang, Maguindanao del Norte on March 31, 2026.

The activity aimed to extend agricultural knowledge and support services directly to communities, particularly to the program’s target beneficiaries from the Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office (PDAO). The participants were led by Ramil Mama, President of PDAO, whose presence highlighted the importance of inclusive agricultural development.

The program formally opened with the rationale delivered by Jon Ian D. Belo, OIC-ISS Chief and Information Officer II, who emphasized ATI’s commitment to making agricultural services more accessible and responsive to the needs of diverse sectors in society.

An E-Learning briefing followed, facilitated by Jossel V. Barbosa, Technical Staff I, providing participants with an overview of ATI programs and services that they may avail to further enhance their agricultural ventures.

One of the highlights of the activity was the discussion on Mushroom Cultivation conducted by Salome P. Amar, Owner of Amar Primeval Learning Site for Agriculture located in President Quirino. The session provided participants with valuable technical knowledge and practical skills on mushroom production.
Participants were actively engaged in hands-on activities, where they learned how to culture mushrooms, prepare and fill substrate bags, and create their own growing materials. This experiential learning approach ensured that participants not only understood the concepts but were also equipped with the skills necessary to start their own mushroom production.

Through this initiative, ATI-RTC XII continues to empower communities by bringing agricultural innovations closer to the people, fostering inclusivity, and promoting sustainable livelihood opportunities for all.
