Norala, South Cotabato—The Rice Information Campaign, Batch 1, brought together 100 farmers from various local associations on April 29, 2026, at the Pacman Gym in Barangay Población. This initiative, organized under the Rice Program of the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center XII, focused on disseminating technical knowledge regarding rice-based integrated farming systems and integrated nutrient management. The event was facilitated by the Information Services Section in partnership with the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist of Norala.

Technical sessions covered the implementation of integrated farming systems, presented by Agriculturist II Jun Rey Samillano, and the principles of integrated nutrient management, discussed by Development Management Officer Jayson Abang. These topics were selected to assist farmers in improving crop yields while optimizing input efficiency. The activity also featured the use of the mobile extension platform, Wheelie, which provided participants with access to digital learning resources and Information, Education, and Communication materials.

By providing these farmers with updated technical information, the campaign serves to enhance the operational capacity of local agricultural associations. The adoption of the discussed integrated management techniques is intended to increase farm productivity and optimize resource usage, which contributes to the long-term food security and economic stability of the participants' local communities.
