On June 4, 2024, the Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center XII (ATI-RTC XII), through its Information Services Section, conducted a validation activity for the newly established Farmers Information and Technology Services (FITS) Centers at MAFAR-Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte, and MAFAR-Mangudadatu, Maguindanao del Sur. This initiative is part of the Coconut Farmers Industry Development Program (CFIDP).
The primary objective of the FITS Centers is to provide local farmers with essential educational resources and facilitate easier access to information on the agriculture and fisheries sectors. By doing so, these centers aim to enhance farmers' knowledge, productivity, and livelihoods.
The validation activity was led by John Lord Auman, Techno Gabay Program Focal Person and Information Officer II, together with Kissciel Rubi, RCEF Technical Staff. Their efforts ensure that the FITS Centers are well-prepared to serve the farming communities in both provinces, fostering sustainable agricultural development through access to vital information and technology.
