Koronadal City – The five-day Training on Farm Business School (FBS) for Corn-Based Business Enterprises culminated in a productive and inspiring finish as participants engaged in business planning and celebrated the completion of their training journey with the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center XII (ATI-RTC XII) on May 30, 2025.

On Day 4, the training shifted into its most applied phase. Participants worked individually and in groups to develop comprehensive business plans for various agri-enterprises, extending beyond corn production. With guidance from resource person Mrs. Shirley L. Beldia, the participants integrated their learnings on market analysis, enterprise budgeting, and operations planning into practical proposals. Each plan was presented before a panel that included Mr. Mikel D. Ternida, CPA, Accountant I, and Ms. Rosemarie G. Nono, Admin Staff IV, who provided constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement.

The final day of the training featured a simple yet meaningful closing ceremony. Participants were awarded certificates of completion in recognition of their full participation and the successful development of their agribusiness plans. The ceremony was highlighted by a message from Dr. Jessie V. Beldia, OIC Center Director of ATI-RTC XII, who lauded the dedication of the participants and emphasized the importance of treating farming as a serious and strategic business.

Dr. Beldia also encouraged the trainees to become catalysts of agripreneurship in their communities, bringing home not just knowledge but a renewed sense of purpose to elevate their farming practices.

The completion of the FBS training signifies not just the end of a program, but the beginning of new, market-oriented agricultural ventures for these farmer-entrepreneurs. With tools in hand and plans in place, they are now more equipped to turn their corn-based enterprises into resilient and profitable agri-businesses.
