Banga, South Cotabato—The third day of the Training on Halal-Multiplier Farm for Halal Practitioners of Region XII and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao took place on April 30, 2026, featuring a field immersion at the Nursery and Diversified Farming Association. This activity was designed to provide participants with direct exposure to Halal-compliant agricultural practices within an active farm setting, bridging the gap between theoretical classroom discussions and real-world implementation.

During the visit, farm owner Jasper B. Cua facilitated a tour of the facility, offering insights into his farm operations, crop and livestock integration, and the ongoing process of attaining official Halal certification. Participants observed the practical application of farm layout designs, resource management systems, and the implementation of fundamental Halal principles, such as maintaining farm hygiene, proper handling procedures, and the segregation of materials to avoid contamination.

Mr. Cua also led a discussion on the operational challenges and market opportunities associated with developing a sustainable, Halal-compliant enterprise. This interactive session allowed participants to examine the logistics of transition and the commitment required to meet specific certification standards.
