The Training on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) in Coconut Production for Batch 4 concluded on April 10, 2026, at Habi Hotel. The final day included a field visit to Gernils Farm Learning Site for Agriculture to observe the application of GAP principles in coconut-based farming systems. The participants received guidance from Ms. Marnelli Cordero, the farm owner, who provided insights on managing a sustainable and productive farm. This field exposure allowed participants to connect theoretical knowledge with farming practices.

Following the field visit, a graduation and closing ceremony occurred to conclude the training. Certificates were awarded to participants for their completion of the program. During the closing activity, Mr. Normuhaymin B. Arsad, technical staff of the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center XII, responded to the impressions shared by the participants, acknowledging their engagement and encouraging the application of the knowledge gained in their farms and communities.

The training ended with a message from Mr. Jesus T. Dacaya, Agriculturist II of the Philippine Coconut Authority – Sultan Kudarat. He noted the importance of continuous learning and the adoption of GAP to achieve sustainable coconut production. The three-day training provided the participants with knowledge, skills, and motivation to become GAP-compliant coconut farmers. By applying these standards, the participants are positioned to improve the productivity and quality of their harvests, contributing to the development of their local coconut industry and the economic stability of their communities.
