The Agricultural Training Institute XII served as the host for the Information Coordinating Network–SOCCSKSARGEN (ICON-SOX) meeting on March 30, 2026. This quarterly gathering brought together Information Officers from various National Government Agencies (NGAs), Local Government Units (LGUs), and State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) across the region. The event functioned as a strategic platform for partner agencies to synchronize their communication efforts, ensuring that government programs and services are promoted effectively to the general public through a unified regional network.
During the session, OIC Assistant Center Director Hannadi S. Guiamad Pompong delivered a comprehensive presentation on the center's flagship programs, highlighting opportunities such as the MAYA Internship, international Exchange Student Programs, and the digital E-Learning platform. A major focal point was the introduction of the center’s latest innovation, "Wheelie: the Agri-Serbisyo on Wheels," a mobile extension service designed to bring technical agricultural assistance directly to remote communities. These presentations aimed to inform partner agencies of the diverse resources available for their respective constituents.
The meeting also facilitated a dynamic exchange of best practices and communication strategies among the participating Information Offices. Discussions centered on improving the delivery of timely and relevant information, particularly in reaching grassroots stakeholders. By fostering this environment of collaboration and knowledge sharing, ICON-SOX continues to strengthen the capabilities of information officers in SOCCSKSARGEN, ensuring a more transparent and responsive governance through a well-coordinated information ecosystem.
