The Information Services Section of Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center 12 through its partnership with Malapatan College of Science and Technology launched the Farmers Information and Technology Services (FITS) Kiosk today, May 25, 2026, at MCSC of Malapatan, Sarangani Province.

FITS Kiosk is an initiative of the Information Services Section of ATI that serves as an information hub for students to access agricultural technologies, digital learning resources, e-learning courses, information materials, and various programs and services ATI offers and its partner agencies. 

‘We extend our gratitude to ATI-12 for this opportunity na magkaroon kami ng FITS Kiosk sa loob mismo ng aming institution. It will greatly help our faculty, students, and especially the local farmers in our municipality kasi it will give them much easier access to updated agricultural information, technologies, and learning opportunities,’ Dr. Maria Giovanna Abenecia, the College Administrator of MCSC said.

She also further emphasized the role that their institution plays in supporting these kinds of initiatives to the continuous agricultural development and community development.

Present also during the launching activity was ATI-RTC 12 OIC-Center Director, Jessie V. Beldia, Ph.D., who highlights the importance of information and technology in transforming the agricultural sector in Sarangani.

‘Ang hamon ko sa sa MCSC ay dapat ma-maximize nila yung gamit sa FITS Kiosk sa pagpapalago ng kaalaman, at inobasyon, kasi ito yung magiging daan para sa ating mga estudyante, pati na rin sa mga local farmers natin para mas marami pa silang kaalaman na makuha na pwede nilang magamit sa kanilang mga farms,’ he said.

FITS Kiosk is only one of the many initiatives of ATI that aims to strengthen partnerships and collaboration with different institutions to bring agricultural knowledge and innovation closer to farming communities.
