DATU ODIN SINSUAT, Maguindanao- Following the successful completion of the 5th leg of the CFIDP Information Caravan, various implementing agencies of the Coconut Farmers Industry Development Program (CFIDP) in BARMM presented potential services and support to coconut farmers in Maguindanao Province.

Sixty-eight (68) coconut farmers from various municipalities in Maguindanao del Norte and Maguindanao del Sur participated in the activity and engaged in the discussion of the CFIDP services. 

Mr. Kamsa B. Adam, President of Jamaa Pink Mosque Farmers Communications Network and Association, stated that the CFIDP Information Caravan is an ideal venue for them to express their concerns about the coconut industry. He also stated that their organization, like the others, requires strong government support.

Meanwhile, ATI-RTC XII Center Director Abdul I. Daya-an emphasized the importance of coconut farmers registering for the DA-National Coconut Farmers Registry System during the activity. CD Daya-an stated that CFIDP services and programs will be available only to farmers listed in the NCFRS.

Among the agencies present during the Information Caravan were PCIC, PhilMEch, Ministry of Trade, Investment and Tourism, Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform, Philippine Coconut Authority-BARMM and Philippine Coconut Authority-Maguindanao. 

The said caravan was held on February 21, 2023 at Dr. Bra Coco Goat Farm, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao- one of ATI’s Learning Sites for Agriculture.
