The DA-ATI RTC XII, through its National Urban and Peri-Urban Agriculture Program (NUPAP), recently organized four batches of technical briefings on October 17, 18, and 20, 2023, in LGU Maasim, Mindanao State University - General Santos City, and Makilala Institute of Science and Technology, respectively.

The briefings were led by Project Officer Ms. Mercedita G. Aglibot, along with Technical Staffs Ms. Gladys Hazel E. Café, Ms. Jane G. Diacoma, and Admin Support Staff Mr. Feil June Parreño. During these briefings, Ms. Cafe discussed the overview of NUPAP and urban agriculture with 100 participants. She highlighted the importance of this new program in increasing the food supply in the country.

NUPAP aims to support urban and peri-urban areas in growing their food, which can be crucial for food security and ensuring that there's enough to eat for everyone.
