On May 23, 2024, the Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center XII (DA ATI-XII) commenced the second batch of the Training of Trainers (TOT) on Digital Agriculture for the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF). The 3-day training, held for participants from Region 12 and BARMM, was warmly opened by Engr. Jun Rey L. Samillano, OIC-PAS Chief, on behalf of ATI RTC XII OIC Center Director Shirley L. Beldia.

Ms. Jovellena B. Simbulan, ISS Technical staff of ATI XII, guided participants on the basics of smartphone use and internet safety, while Ms. Marnil B. Del Monte, Media Production Specialist II, delved into advanced topics such as agricultural applications, social media marketing, e-commerce platforms, and online payments.

The training aims to equip trainers with the skills necessary to help farmers access crucial information and improve farming decisions through the use of digital technology.
