PATIN-AY, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur-The School-on-the-Air Program on Smart Rice Agriculture (SOA SRA) will start its first airing in June, 2022 for Agusan del Sur. This is based on the agreement made during the briefing activity on May 6, 2022. Said activity was conducted by the Regional Technical Working Group (RTWG) of the SOA SRA.

The RTWG comprised with the Department of Agriculture (DA)- Caraga, Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice) - Agusan Experiment Station and the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13.

Said briefing was participated by the different municipalities of Agusan del Sur through their Rice Focal Persons which will also become the Municipal SOA SRA Coordinators.

Provincial Agriculturist Armando G. Valiente welcomed everyone during the program. He expressed his profound gratitude to the SOA SRA RTWG members for including Agusan del Sur to host the said SOA Program. He also thanked and inspired the Municipal Coordinators for staying active and supportive in every endeavor of the province.

Moreover, Joel B. Corvera, Provincial SOA Coordinator at the same time Farmcaster acknowledged participants. Ginalyn V. Arbutante, Information Officer II of ATI-Caraga presented the overview of the SOA SRA.

OIC Center Director of ATI-Caraga, Fil Victor A. Babanto gave his message together Aurelius Arais, Public Relations Officer II of DA Caraga. On the other hand, Cheryll U. Seville Research and Development Coordinator of PhilRice Agusan also thanked everyone for the full support with the program.

Several agreements were made during the briefing such as the target date, time and day of airing as well as the tentative radio station where to host the SOA SRA program. Submission deadline of documents and other forms will be on May 31, 2022. Target date of first airing which is also the launching on-air will be on June 17, 2022.
