BUTUAN CITY- A successful semestral assessment for the Second Semester of Academic Year 2024–2025 was held by the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI)–Caraga on July 29, 2025, at the Balangay Hall, located within the ATI regional office in Brgy. Los Angeles, Butuan City. The event also featured a team-building activity participated in by scholars under the Educational Assistance for the Youth in Agriculture (EAsY Agri) Scholarship Program.
On behalf of OIC Center Director Noemi Beth G. Macario, Administrative Officer IV Francis H. Iriarte welcomed the participants and delivered an inspiring message, encouraging scholars to persevere in their education despite life's challenges. He also emphasized that ATI’s support goes beyond financial assistance—it also includes moral, mental, and psychological support. For this semester, ATI-Caraga manages and supports 34 scholars from both the EAsY Agri and Educational Grants for Extension Workers (EdGE) Scholarship Programs.
Meanwhile, Information Officer II and current Focal Person for the Scholarship Program, Ms. Ginalyn V. Arbutante, discussed the topic of stress management and mental health awareness and led the Knowledge Sharing and Learning (KSL) session. This activity provided a valuable opportunity for scholars to learn how to manage stress and challenges, particularly those related to their academic responsibilities.
The purpose of the assessment was to evaluate the academic performance of the scholars, check their compliance with program requirements, and assess the effectiveness of ATI’s program implementation for the second semester of Academic Year 2024–2025.
“The semestral assessment was an opportunity to reconnect with fellow scholars and reflect on our efforts. The topic of stress management highlighted the importance of mental health, especially amid school pressures and personal life struggles. We learned that it’s okay to feel down, but it’s equally important to seek help and support from family and friends. Grades are not the only measure of life—we must also take care of ourselves,” expressed Ms. Erin Hope Fabiana, one of the scholars. She also shared her joy in attending the event, as it gave them a chance to meet and bond as EAsY Agri scholars.
