BUTUAN CITY - Thousands of individuals, mostly hailing from remote villages, are anticipated to converge at Caraga State University in Ampayon, Butuan City on March 15-16, 2024 for the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF), aimed at availing government programs and services. This revelation transpired during a coordination meeting convened at the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 13 on February 7, 2024.

Melody Guimary, FOD Chief and acting as the Presiding Officer, explained during the meeting that the BPSF is an initiative of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and is spearheaded by the House of Representatives. This undertaking is President Marcos' directive to streamline government offices, to enhance accessibility to social services and programs, thereby underlining the government's commitment to cater to Filipinos across the nation.

The BPSF underscores the collaborative efforts of Congress and various stakeholders to extend governmental aid, disseminate vital information, and introduce diverse programs tailored to meet the needs of communities, particularly those facing challenges in accessing essential services.

In addition to governmental assistance, the services caravan encompasses an array of programs, encompassing livelihood programs, social services, scholarships, educational programs, and regulatory services. The ATI committed to disseminating Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials during the fair to advocate farming and fishing technologies, thereby boosting the production and income of individuals in the Agriculture and Fisheries (AF) sector.
