LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – 2022 marks the 32nd anniversary of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) in Butuan City. To commemorate the said event, ATI-RTC 13 prepared twin activities on January 4, 2022 at the office site.

The day started with a Thanksgiving Mass which was officiated by Rev. Fr. Jojo Borja. This was followed shortly by the awarding ceremony of the Digital Farmers Program Vlogging Contest. The winners were: Jean Pilmar Silva (Surigao City), JM Lancin (Surigao City), Prince Bert Corbeta / Eden Corbeta (Surigao City), Ricardo Bernaldez Jr./Raymart Bernaldez (Surigao City), and Kyla Morgado (San Agustin, Surigao del Sur). All winners received 1 unit Huawei Nova 7i smartphone, load cards, and 5G SIM cards.

The ATI in Butuan City started last January 2, 1990 as a Farmers’ Training Center under Region X. It was only in 2004 that the FTC became a Regional Training Center (RTC) when the entire network implemented the rationalization program of the government.
