The Agriculture Training Institute - Regional Training Institute 13 (ATI-RTC 13) celebrated its 34th anniversary as a training center under the theme "Innovate to Elevate: Journeying Together Towards Excellence." The festivities commenced with a solemn Holy Mass officiated by Fr. Joseph Borja on January 4, 2024, drawing a diverse audience of farmers, LGU representatives, ATI employees and retirees, and members of the Barangay Council of Brgy. Los Angeles.
Part of the celebration was the recognition of fourteen farm owners who were awarded certificates as Learning Sites for Agriculture (LSA). The recipients, a blend of newly-established LSAs and those renewing their certificates highlighted the ongoing commitment to agricultural extension in the region.
The anniversary also featured a symbolic signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), reinforcing partnerships and collaborations that propel agricultural initiatives to new heights.
In a move towards digital agriculture, ATI-RTC 13 provided ICT equipment to the Rural Improvement Club Producers Cooperative (RICProCo) in Capalayan, Surigao City. This initiative is part of the Digital Farmers Program Farm Tech Package that aims to equip farmers with cutting-edge technologies, enhancing productivity and sustainability.
The theme "Innovate to Elevate: Journeying Together Towards Excellence" resonated throughout the event, symbolizing ATI-RTC 13's commitment to fostering innovation and strong partnerships in the field of agricultural extension.
