Elvis Dela Merced of UNLAD/Dela Merced Diversified Organic Farm in San Jose, Dinagat Island, together with his wife, received ICT equipment and IEC materials from OIC Center Director Fil Victor Babanto of ATI-RTC 13 as support to UNLAD's FITS Kiosk on March 9, 2022.

SAN JOSE, Province of Dinagat Islands – The Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center 13 (ATI-Caraga) turned over ICT equipment and materials to the UNLAD/Dela Merced Diversified Organic Farm FITS Kiosk and OPAg-PDI FITS Center on March 9, 2022.

The former received a projector, projector screen, IEC materials and tarpaulin while the latter was given a 43-inch Smart LED TV, desktop computer, computer table, IEC materials, and tarpaulin.

OIC Center Director Fil Victor A. Babanto led the turnover of equipment and materials which were under the funding of the Techno Gabay Program (TGP). Elvis Dela Merced of UNLAD/Dela Merced Diversified Organic Farm was thankful to ATI as it was a ray of hope for him considering his farm was damaged by Typhoon Odette last December 16, 2021.

The same sentiment was felt by the OPAG-PDI staff whose office was also affected by the super typhoon. Alan Azares of OPAG-PDI accepted the equipment and materials on behalf of PDI Governor Arlene “Kaka” Bag-ao and Provincial Agriculturist Marlon Cueco.

Aside from the turnover, OIC CD Babanto also visited the Catubig Diversified Farm. According to the owner and Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) cooperator Emma Catubig, the farm is still undergoing repairs due to the devastation caused by Odette. Once fully recovered, she plans to put up a FITS Kiosk as added feature in her farm.
