BUTUAN CITY – Sixty-five (65) participants and guests attended the information caravan on Organic Agriculture on November 3, 2022 at the North Atrium of Robinsons Place Butuan. With the theme: Maunlad na Pagsasaka, Garantisado sa Organikong Agrikulturang Sinaliksik, the activity was in celebration of Organic Agriculture month.

Among the topics discussed during the information caravan were the Sustainable Feed Development Program Using Locally Available Ingredients for Caraga Region, Salient Features of the Participatory Guarantee System (PGS), and Opportunities and Benefits of Learning Sites for Agriculture (LSAs).

The speakers who shared their expertise were Gemma Asufre, Agricultural Center Chief III of DA-RFO 13; Rodolfo Domingo Jr., Agriculturist II/Alternate-Organic Agriculture Focal Person of DA-RFO 13; and Engr. Matt Andrew Baquiano, OIC Chief of the Partnerships and Accreditation Section of ATI-RTC 13. Fil Victor A. Babanto, OIC Center Director of ATI-RTC 13, was present to deliver his welcome address.

Aside from the discussions, there was also an open forum and trivia quiz to encourage audience participation.

Most participants who attended the information caravan were Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) cooperators, organic farmers, and Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) from various provinces.
