SAN MIGUEL, Surigao del Sur – The Las Casas de Campomanes in Barangay Magroyong, a certified Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA), now has its own Farmers Information Technology Services (FITS) Kiosk. The Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center 13 (ATI-RTC 13) conducted a simple launching activity on August 17, 2023 in the presence of proprietor and farmer-cooperator Joeirene Campomanes and representatives from ATI-RTC 13 and the LGU of San Miguel.
This is a significant stride towards enhancing agricultural knowledge among local farmers there through the provision of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials. The FITS Kiosk stands as a knowledge hub where farmers can easily access relevant information on a variety of agriculture and fisheries-related topics.
Aside from Campomanes, other personalities present were Fil Victor A. Babanto, Chief of the Information Services Section (ISS) at ATI-RTC 13; Jason Paul Dads E. Jampac, MPS II of ATI-RTC 13; as well as Agricultural Technologists from the LGU of San Miguel namely Ivy Mae Francisco and Christine Baldovino.
