CLAVER, Surigao del Norte - Agriculture, culture, and commerce come alive in this thriving town as it kicks off the Panaghiusa Festival Agri-trade Fair on September 1, 2023, at the town plaza.

The agri-fair is highlighted by an Inter-barangay Booth Dressing Competition with 14 colorful entries each representing the unique character of Claver's barangays. These exhibits showcase agri-fishery products abundant and known in a particular village.

Jason Paul Dads E. Jampac, Media Production Specialist II of ATI-RTC 13, was invited as a preliminary judge in the booth contest. He was joined by personnel from the DA-RFO 13, Provincial Agriculture Office (PAO) of Surigao del Norte, and esteemed Clavernons from the academe and private sector.

The booths were evaluated based on creativity, originality, craftsmanship, visual appeal, and the volume and variety of the products on display.

The primary objective of the agri-fair booth contest is to promote the products from the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and farmer’s cooperatives in Claveria. Through this activity, it will showcase local products to gain recognition, attract customers, and potentially expand their businesses.

Leading the opening of the activity were Mayor Georgia D. Gokiangkee and members of the Sangguniang Bayan. They were joined by Vice Governor Geed D. Gokiangkee, former Mayor Eddie P. Gokiangkee, representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry, mining company leaders, and personnel from the government and private sectors.
