
TAGANA-AN, Surigao del Norte - The Techno Gabay Program (TGP) was launched in Tagana-an, Surigao del Norte on February 18, 2022. The activity was attended by officials from the Local Government Unit (LGU) of the town namely Vice Mayor Cesar Alsong Diaz (who represented Municipal Mayor Cesar Batoy Diaz), Sangguniang Bayan Member Conrado Astronomo (Chair, Committee on Agriculture), and Municipal Agriculturist Myra Messaiah Estobo.
The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) being the lead implementer of TGP was represented by OIC Center Director of ATI-RTC 13, Fil Victor A. Babanto.
Tagana-an’s Partner Member Agency (PMA) in the implementation of TGP is the Surigao State College of Technology (SSCT). During the launch, SSTC representative Jerry Acero (Associate Professor) was in attendance to expressed his support to the TGP in Tagana-an.
Also present to witness the event were local farmers and fishers as well as staff from the LGU and ATI.
The TGP is a program that provides a framework for a more effective and sustainable strategy for bringing the needed information and technologies to the farmers and fisherfolk in the countryside.
