QUEZON CITY - The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) seminar on Cash Management and Control System which aimed to help its personnel understand cash management ideas, rules, and strategies that will enable them to navigate situations that happen in the real-world including handling legal requirements and internal rules.
The seminar was held on September 9-12, 2025, at the RDEC, ATI Central Office, Quezon City and attended by Cashiers, Accountants, and other Accountable Officers from various ATI Regional Centers. Ms. Ella Dane Maca, representing ATI-RTC XIII, actively participated in the seminar.
Ms. Antonieta J. Arceo, ATI Central Office Assistant Director, delivered an inspiring message emphasizing the vital role of Accountable Officers and Cashiers in ensuring transparency and diligence in financial operations. She reminded participants of the importance of integrity and responsibility in handling government funds.
The resource persons included Atty. Joven M. Macasinag and Ms. Jenelyn M. Cuanico from the Commission on Audit (COA). The discussions focused on the Accountability, Responsibility, and Liability of an Accountable Officer, with interactive group and individual activities to reinforce learning. Other topics included disbursement of government funds, receipts, and collections, along with guidelines on Cash Advances. The sessions provided participants with a deeper understanding of government accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency in their respective offices.
To conclude the seminar, Mrs. Arlene S. Nilo, AFU-OD Head of the ATI Central Office, delivered a heartfelt message highlighting the importance of continuous learning and announced that more training and seminars for Administrative and Finance Personnel will be conducted in the future.
