BUTUAN CITY – The Agricultural Training Institute is now accepting applications for its latest scholarship offering through the Educational Grants for Extension Workers (EdGE).

The program aims to empower the AEWs with opportunities for career development and develop a pool of community management professionals and subject matter specialists on social and production technologies through the provision of degree scholarships.

EdGE is open for deserving and capable AEWs from the Department of Agriculture (DA), State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and Local Government Units (LGUs to pursue Graduate Degree Programs on Agriculture, Fishery and related multi-disciplinary course. A total of five (5) slots for Master’s Degree and three (3) slots for Doctorate Degree are available in the region, as confirmed during the consultation meeting with regional Scholarship Point Person conducted by the ATI-CDMD on June 9, 2022 via Zoom.

Interested applicants should meet the following eligibility requirements: He/She must have completed a bachelor’s degree for MS applicants and master’s degree with thesis or its equivalent for PhD applicants; he/she must have rendered at least two (2) years as a permanent employee; his/her course program must be in line with the mandate of his/her Agency; he/she must have a rating of at least Very Satisfactory (VS) in the Individual Performance and Commitment Review (IPCR) for two (2) consecutive rating periods immediately preceding the application; is endorsed by the Head of the Agency; not more than 50 years at the time of application; Not under any form of scholarship for his/her graduate studies; No pending administrative case; Not have been a delinquent scholar of a previous scholarship; Passed the requirements for admission where he/she intends to study; and must be willing to work on a thesis/dissertation study that is subject to the Guidelines of the Thesis and Dissertation Assistance.

The documentary requirements are as follows: Application Letter; Certified True Copy of Diploma and Transcript of Records (TOR); Latest PDS with 2x2 picture certified by the Agency’s Human Resource Officer; Certified Copy of Appointment; Certified Copy of Duties and Responsibilities or Position Description Form (PDF); Certified Copies of the IPCR for the last two (2) periods; Permit to Study approved and signed by the Head of Agency/Office; PSA copy of birth certificate; Certification from the Agency’s HR Officer certifying that the applicant is not under any form of scholarship at the time of availment, has no pending administrative case, and has not been a delinquent scholar from previous a scholarship program; Certificate of Good Moral Character; and, Certificate of admission from the preferred University/College.

Interested applicants should submit applications with complete documentary requirements to ATI-RTC 13 located at Los Angeles, Butuan City through Fil Victor A. Babanto, OIC – Center Director on or before July 11, 2022.
