BUTUAN CITY – With the existing social, health, and political challenges, the Agricultural Training Institute continues to strengthen its collaboration and partnership efforts with its regional counterparts. As such, the ATI through the Partnership and Accreditation Division (PAD)conducted a Technical Guidance Session on PAD’s Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) last February 28 to March 2, 2022.

The activity provided updates on the implementation of existing and new extension services of ATI. It also served as a venue for harmonizing issues and drawing out recommendations to ensure the effective implementation of the various PPAs.

In her message, ATI Director Rosana P. Mula emphasized that guidelines and policies are very important thus she encouraged the Center Directors to provide inputs on how to improve the delivery of various programs and services.

Ms. Jovanee dela Cuadra presented the updates on the youth in agriculture and various activities for the Rural-based Organizations. She also shared some activities of the Filipino Young Farmers Internship Program in Taiwan and the Young Filipino Farmer Leaders Training Program in Japan.

The second day was focused on the activities of the banner programs. It includes a discussion on the comprehensive plan for the harmonization of modules on the Vegetable Specialist Training Course, seminar series on emerging technologies, Training on Organik Konek and PGS under the Organic Agriculture Program, Organic Agriculture and Rice Awareness Month Celebration among others.

Meanwhile, updates on Alliance Building -Extension Service Provider Accreditation (AB-ESP) for Agriculture and Fisheries activities were discussed on the third day of the session. The revised guidelines on the certification of Learning Site for Agriculture

Engr. Matt Andrew G. Baquiano, OIC-Chief of the Partnership and Accreditation Services Section, and Mary Grace B. Salve, OIC-Chief of the Career Development and Management Services Section represented the ATI-RTC 13 during the activity.
