The ATI-RTC 13, through its Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Unit (PMEU), took a proactive
approach to developing agriculture and fisheries extension plans through a provincial consultation
workshop.
The stakeholders from the Agusan del Norte convened on February 3, 2025, at the Golden Tara Hall
of ATI-RTC 13, Butuan City, to present the priority training and extension needs for FY 2027.
OIC-Center Director Noemi Beth G. Macario presented an overview of ATI's extension services,
emphasizing its role in providing the necessary training to enhance and empower the key players in
the agriculture and fisheries sector. She added that ATI aimed to provide need-based and data-
driven capacity-building and extension interventions for the actors in the agriculture and fisheries
sector, especially the Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) and farmer leaders.
Participants included representatives from the provincial, city, and municipal agriculture offices in
Agusan del Norte, Caraga State University - College of Agriculture, Department of Agriculture –
Regional Field Office, Philippine Coconut Authority, Municipal Agriculture and Fishery Council, and
other stakeholders. (with the report from G. Domingo)
