Surigao City - The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13
strengthened its commitment to supporting farmers and fisherfolk in Surigao del Norte with the
launch of its 49th Farmers Information and Technology Services (FITS) Center in Caraga region on
January 24, 2025.
The FITS Center, one of the components of the Techno-Gabay Program (TGP), serves as a one-stop
shop for farmers and other stakeholders in the province to access information and technology. Mr.
Jason Paul Dads E. Jampac, OIC Chief of the Information Services Section, outlined the TGP
objectives and components, including the services offered by the FITS Center.
The signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between ATI and the Provincial Local Government
Unit (PLGU) of Surigao del Norte further strengthened its commitment and collaboration toward
improving farm productivity and income by bringing much-needed modern technologies closer to
the farmers.
On behalf of OIC Center Director Noemi Beth G. Macario, Mr. Jampac turned over ICT equipment to
the PLGU to support the operations of the FITS Center and enhance its capacity to deliver extension
services to farmers and fisherfolk in the area.
The event was in conjunction with the ceremonial turn-over of the New Kadiwa sa Kapitolyo
Facility. Guests in attendance included Provincial Administrator Atty. Rice Faith Recabo,
representing Governor Robert Lyndon S. Barbers, Provincial Agriculturist Ruby Ann Lagahit,
Assistant Provincial Agriculturist Alejandro V. Bagnol, Mr. Bimbo C. Lagare, OIC-Provincial Fisheries
Office, DA-APCO representatives, officers and members of Trinidad Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries
Cooperative and students from Mat-i National High School.
The ATI-RTC 13 extends its gratitude to all partners and stakeholders involved in this collaboration.
It looks forward to working together to ensure its effective services to various clients within the
province.
