Butuan City - The Agricultural Training Institute opens scholarship opportunities to deserving youth, particularly the incoming freshman in the Caraga region, through the Educational Assistance for the Youth in Agriculture (EAsY Agri).

Easy Agri, which is now on its 3rd batch, is a college scholarship grant for the children of smallholder farmers and fishers inclined to agriculture, giving them equal opportunities to pursue a Degree Program in agriculture and other related courses in State Universities and Colleges.

As part of the screening process, the regional Training and Scholarship committee interviewed 18 applicants on July 10 and July 17, 2023, respectively. The shortlist is based on the result and endorsed for review, evaluation, and the National Training and Scholarship Committee. They will complete the 15 slots allotted for Caraga. T

Shortlisted applicants are as follows: Hazel Ann M. Meniano and Marjorie B. Parilla, both from San Francisco, Agusan del Sur; Jasmein A.Luison of Jabonga, Dwight Lance E. Jumao-as of Carmen, Lordito S. Lacaran Jr. of Nasipit, Aubrey Lady Mae L. Bulalhog, of Tubay, all of Agusan del Norte, and Kitchie S. Luzon of Butuan City; Hanielyn G. Morillon, and Rozzen Ken Bernadez both from San Francisco, Eiziel Ann M. Balais and Rochelle R. Moron, of Bacuag, Aldrin M. Yu of Mainit, all of Surigao del Norte; Marjory A. Besinga from Cortes, Surigao del Sur; and from Cagdianao, Province of Dinagat Island,  Ivie M. Densing and Apple Aya Gin M. Escatin.

The EAsY Agri aims to encourage the youth to engage in agriculture as professionals or agriprenuers in the future.
