GARCIA, Libjo, Province of Dinagat Islands – The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI-RTC) XIII, through the Information Services Section, turned over ICT equipment to the Cabalawan Farmers Association (CFA) in Barangay Garcia, on February 22, 2024, as part of the Digital Farmers Program (DFP) Farm Technology Package.

The ICT equipment includes 1 unit tablet, 10 Smartphones, a daylight projector and screen, a portable sound system with a microphone, flash drives, and a storage box.

ISS Chief Fil Victor A. Babanto emphasized that the Farm Tech is a package of technology that serves as a portable training and resource for CFA as they roll out DFP training among farmers in the locality by providing access to technology, connectivity, and agriculture-related content.  There were 27 CFA members and officers who completed the DFP Training of Trainers (TOT) last June 20-22, 2023, in Brgy. Albor, Libjo, PDI.

Ronie B. Beronguis, CFA Chairman stated, "We are grateful to the tremendous support and interventions we received through the DFP to help educate more farmers on the importance of modern technologies in farming."

Present during the event were Hon. Melody Llamera Compasivo, Libjo Municipal Mayor; Rico B. Galinato, Provincial Agriculturist; Lope Loberio, Municipal Agriculturist; Ever Joy Rabadan, CHED representative; Rodel Pasion, Caraga State University (CSU) representative; and personnel from ATI-RTC XIII and the Provincial Agriculture Office of PDI (with the report of Sophia Jadassah S. Moleta).
