BUTUAN CITY – The Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center 13 and the City Local Government Unit (CLGU) of Butuan will collaborate in implementing the School-on-the-Air (SOA) on Vegetable Production within Butuan City. 

During the briefing on April 11, 2024, held at Charlie’s Dormitel, Butuan City, the CLGU, through the Office of the City Agriculturist signified their commitment to the program intended for 500 farmers within the city. 

Mr. Jason Paul Dads E. Jampac, OIC Chief of the Information Services Section of ATI-RTC 13, highlighted the objectives of the SOA and the topics to be covered by the program. He mentioned that the program will commence in the first week of June. He also discussed the roles and responsibilities of the partners, as well as the implementation mechanics. 

Present during the activity are the following personnel from the Office of the City Agriculturist - Butuan City: Supervising Agriculturist Eric B. Ancheta, Agriculturist II Joan B. Dela Torre, and Engr. Lestan M. Morales. 

The SOA aims to address problems and information needs on vegetable production of the farmers in Butuan City.
