AMIA DST Modules

BUTUAN CITY – The Climate-Resilient Agriculture Office (CAO) conducted the Training on Localizing the Adaptation and Mitigation Initiative in Agriculture (AMIA) Decision Support Tools (DST) modules last February 18, 2022 via Cisco Webex.

Said activity is one of the work plans scheduled for 2022 in line with the directive of the DA Secretary to integrate available AMIA DST modules on climate resiliency as core content in the regular training courses of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI). This is based on the approved guidelines of Key Strategy No. 9 on intensifying Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Measures under the OneDA framework.

Attended by the Sections Chiefs of the Partnership and Accreditation Services Section and Career Development and Management Services Section of the Regional Training Centers, the training aimed to capacitate the participants on the techniques and tools for an effective and enhanced context-based packaging of the modules. Engr. Matt Andrew G. Baquiano and Mary Grace B. Salve represented ATI-RTC 13 in the said training.

The DA-CRAO communications team discussed the following topics: Introduction to contextualization to S & T Information, Fundamentals of Communication Design, Localization Techniques and Tools, and, module localization module matrix guide.

The localized modules are expected to be rolled out by June this year.
