San Jose, Dinagat Islands –The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center 13 (ATI-RTC
13), led by OIC Center Director Noemi Beth G. Macario, recently held its third provincial
consultation in Dinagat Islands.
The meeting, conducted on February 5, 2025, at the Lifelong Education Technology and Training
Institute, Inc. (LETTI) in Purok 2, Cuarinta, San Jose, brought together agricultural extension
stakeholders to identify crucial training and extension needs for the fiscal year 2027 and beyond.
Dr. Aimee Jimeno, Provincial Veterinarian, welcomed the ATI-Caraga team and commended their
effective implementation of various programs and services. Mr. Elvis dela Merced, LETTI owner and

Magsasaka Siyentista National President, hoped for a productive session where plans and programs
focused on attaining higher yield and a prosperous economy.
Provincial Agriculturist Mr. Rico B. Galinato pledged the province's full support to achieve 100%
program completion and ensure positive impacts for local farmers and fishers. He mentioned the
proposed establishment of a soil laboratory because the provincial government recognized the
importance of soil analysis in the sound planning of agricultural intervention. He also encouraged
the LGUs to promote the best practices of the locals in organic farming.
Twenty-five representatives from the Provincial Agriculture Office, Provincial Veterinary Office,
Municipal Agriculture Offices, and other key stakeholders participated in the consultation. Their
combined insights will be instrumental in shaping the future of agricultural extension services in
the Province of Dinagat Islands.
