A total of farmers, youth, and Agricultural Extension Workers graduated from the School-on-the-Air Program on Urban Gardening, held October 12, 2023, at the Provincial Convention Center, Surigao City. The participating LGUs are Alegria, Bacuag, Burgos, Claver, Dapa, Mainit, Malimono, Placer, San Francisco, Sison, Socorro, Surigao City, Tagana-an, and Tubod, all of Surigao del Norte.

Ruby Ann Lagahit, Provincial Agriculturist, thanked the ATI for the opportunity given to the locals within the province to gain knowledge and information about urban gardening. Meanwhile, ATI OIC

Center Director Dr. Jessie V. Beldia commended the invaluable support extended by the PAO in implementing the program. He also thanked the Provincial and municipal coordinators who did all the work in the field to ensure that the enrollees follow through with the topics and the required quizzes and exams, and, more importantly, in ensuring that learning was facilitated among the enrollees. 

The graduates received their certificates of completion, while top-performing graduates per municipality received tokens. The top 1 graduate per municipality are the following: Mariejel Polinar (Surigao City), Marlie Miranda (Dapa), Lonelyn Aurelio (Dapa), Bernarlyn Villamor (Placer), Marivic M. Misagal (Sison), Winelyn Pacheco (Tagana-an), Raquelyn Pernes (Tubod), Regielyn Mimes (Alegria), Gina O. Flores (Bacuag), Danicel E. Consigna (Burgos), Edna T. Paglinawan (Claver), Karl Adulp Cido (Mainit), Rossel Najial (San Francisco), and Sherryl Tinambacan (Socorro).

Present during the event were Mr. Oscar Pospia Jr, designated Chief of Staff of Hon. Governor Barbers, Ms. Gerlie Antipaso of DA-RFO 13, Asst. PA Alejandro Bagnol with the City and Municipal Agriculturists of the participating LGUs.
