BUTUAN CITY — The A.R.D.A. Integrated Farm, owned and managed by Mr. Alan Rey D. Antoquia and his family, has been granted Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) Enhancement Support under the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP) on October 19, 2025.

Located in Barangay Antongalon, Butuan City, A.R.D.A. Integrated Farm is a recognized farm-learning site that champions sustainable and diversified farming systems. It serves as a practical venue for hands-on learning and demonstration of good agricultural practices, with a particular focus on coconut-based and integrated farming enterprises.

With the enhancement support, the farm is now better equipped to conduct more engaging and technology-driven training sessions. The smart TV and laptop will be used to facilitate access to digital learning materials and interactive presentations, while the printer, chairs, and tables will help streamline workshop activities and documentation. These improvements aim to create a more conducive and efficient learning environment for farmers and agricultural learners.

The Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP), implemented by the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) in partnership with the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) and other government agencies, seeks to uplift the country’s coconut industry through farmer education, technology transfer, and enterprise development. The enhancement of Learning Sites for Agriculture is one of the program’s key strategies to ensure that coconut farmers continue to receive quality technical assistance and practical training.

Learning Sites for Agriculture (LSAs) play a role in strengthening the nation’s agricultural extension system. These sites serve as dynamic, field-based learning hubs where farmers, students, and practitioners gain hands-on experience in crop production, livestock management, farm business operations, and value-adding technologies—bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world farm applications.
